Subject:           Welcome Meeting for Marching Band Students and their Parents

On Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 8:00 PM in the Elizabeth Forward High School Auditorium there will be a welcome meeting for the marching band students and their parents.  This week starts the 2010 marching band season.  Several changes have taken place with the band recently, the foremost being our new director, Mr. Justin Turpin.

At Wednesday’s meeting, Mr. Turpin will discuss his plans for the 2010 Elizabeth Forward Marching Band Season including practices, competitions, our 2010 Home Show, and other pertinent information.  Mr. Turpin will also address questions and concerns of the band parents.

Also, the Elizabeth Forward Band Boosters will discuss the booster organization along with the functions that they perform and also discuss topics such as fundraising, membership in good standing fees, volunteering, area parents, and the band boosters’ website.

It is important that at least one parent or guardian for each student attend this meeting.

For those students and parents that are new to the high school marching band, this meeting will provide an excellent overview of the workings of the band and the booster organization.  For those returning students and parents, you will be able to see some of the important changes that are occurring this year.
